finally! prop 8 passed in california! it puts a ban on gay marriage in the state of california. that means that is no longer legal in the state of california for gay couples to be legally wed and enjoy the same benefits that heterosexual couples enjoy. things like tax cuts and being able to see a loved one if they were hurt in hospital. we can continue to force our morals onto others who may not wish to live their life under the rules we govern ourselves, this is great! we still get to discriminate against two people that love each other and want to spiritually and outwardly show that they are committed to the other person for the rest of their lives. gay couples can continue to try and taint the sanctity of marriage which is rightfully reserved for only a man and woman. only they are capable of upholding the respect and dignity such a union commands.

seriously though, us "marriage people" aren't doing so hot when you really consider it. if two people love each other and want to show their life-long commitment to one another why can't they do so like the rest of us? you don't have to agree with their lifestyle. denying same sex marriage is like telling someone they can't wear their favorite band t-shirt out in public because they don't like and respect them as much as you do. it's a real childish thing to do.
